At Irish Nationwide (IOM) Limited, or INIOM as we refer to ourselves, we provide a range of Sterling-based High Interest Deposit Accounts.

Whether you are investing as an individual, a company or as trustees you will receive the same rates of interest and the same high standard of personal service from our knowledgeable Customer Services team.

Uncomplicated and easy to operate, our products are aimed at the lump sum investor looking for a secure and competitive return on their capital.

Established in the Isle of Man since 1994, we are backed by the substantial resources of our “parent”, the Irish Nationwide Building Society and licensed as a deposit-taking bank by the Isle of Man Government Financial Supervision Commission. The Society, a mortgage lender based in Dublin, was established in 1873 and is regulated by the Financial Regulator in Ireland.


Location

We have been established in the Isle of Man since 1994 and have been highly successful in generating deposit business from our local market as well as from the United Kingdom and overseas.

The Isle of Man, a Standard & Poors “AAA” rated jurisdiction and British Crown Dependency, is a stable political and economic jurisdiction. The Island boasts the longest continuous parliament in the world – now over 1,000 years old – and combined with stringent financial regulation, makes it a natural location for us from which to offer our range of products and services.

Our offices are based in Douglas, the Island’s commercial and population capital, which has strong British and international connections. Add to this the Island’s independent legal and taxation system and you have safe and easy access to an internationally renowned financial services centre.


Service Standards

We are a small, quality-driven team and we take Customer Service very seriously. We constantly strive to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction in all our dealings with you.

Our Customer Service standards can be measured as follows:

  • Your application form will be processed on the day of receipt and your account number issued.
  • As soon as we are in receipt of all the necessary verification of identity documents, your account will become fully operable.
  • Our Confirmation will be issued immediately and sent to your residential address.
  • All funds received, whether by cheque or Electronic Funds Transfer, will be processed and applied to your account on the day we receive them.
  • Your withdrawal instructions will be processed immediately they fall due.
  • If you have one of our variable rate Notice Accounts you will be notified each time our interest rates change and will receive an annual statement of account in early February.


Keeping it Simple

Our philosophy at INIOM is to keep things simple and this theme runs right through our business – our literature, website, application forms, terms and conditions and the operation of our accounts.

We aim to make it as easy as possible for you to do business with us through a personal and flexible approach to service.

The funds we raise on deposit are swept across to our parent building society to enable them to meet their mortgage lending programme in the United Kingdom. The stewardship of your deposit is not, therefore, exposed to the ups and downs of the Stock Market.
